Miranda Lambert: 'I Want to Have Some Mystery'

Signing off of social media is good for Miranda Lambert and her music.

The singer contrasts the pressure to share bits of her private life with fans with her inclination to remain private in a lengthy new interview with Hits Daily Double. She also opens up about her vulnerabilities, admitting she's been the heartbreaker and the heartbroken.

It was a rare sit-down with Lambert, during which the singer mostly talked about her music and the process of recording the two-disc The Weight of My Wings album in 2016, one year after her divorce from Blake Shelton. The album was therapy, she says. Unlike Platinum, she didn't worry so much about the reception or commercial success as much as about getting things off her chest.

Florida Georgia Line Say Fourth Album Is Coming Early 2019

Florida Georgia Line are riding high after recently celebrating four chart toppers in Nashville, and the duo continue to look ahead at their fourth studio album. In an interview with Billboard, FGL share that their new project will likely be available in early 2019—but fans won't have to wait too much longer for new music.

"The plan is try to release a song or two every month until the album comes out," Tyler Hubbard tells the publication. "Every song, we're really, really proud of—from 'Swerve,' which has a kind of a different hip-hop feel, to a song called 'People Are Different,' an amazing life song."

The duo recently released the album's lead single, "Simple," and Hubbard says his new role as a father to nearly six-month-old daughter Olivia has influenced his songwriting. As a result, fans can expect some songs about his home life.

Chris Stapleton and Justin Timberlake 'Talking About' Making More Music Together

Chris Stapleton and Justin Timberlake have teamed up for two very well-received collaborations, and they might not be done yet.

In an interview with Billboard during the 2018 CMA Music Festival in Nashville, Stapleton confirmed that he's been in touch with Timberlake about the possibility of future collaborations.

“We were talking about something earlier today,” Stapleton said before taking the stage on Saturday night (June 9) at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. “We just have fun. It looks like the odd couple to most people, but we have a lot of the same musical influences — old R&B and soul music and things like that. We just enjoy hanging out.”

Stapleton was a critically respected but little-known country artist with his first solo album, Traveller, recently in release when he and Timberlake first collaborated during the 2015 CMA Awards. They paired for an incendiary, show-stopping performance of "Tennessee Whiskey" and "Drink You Away" that quickly went viral, launching Stapleton into overnight superstardom.

Will Sam Hunt and Luke Bryan Write Together on the Road?

Luke Bryan launched his What Makes You Country Tour — the stadium edition — at the end of May, and invited special guest Sam Hunt to join the bill. That means two of country's hottest superstars are spending more time together ... and maybe writing songs?

Eh, not likely.

While Hunt couldn't say enough good things about his tourmate and fellow Georgian during a chat with Taste of Country Nights — "I like Luke a lot, he's genuine," he assures — Hunt admits that songwriting on the road really isn’t really his cup of tea, no matter who he's touring with.

Ashley McBryde's First Encounter With Eric Church Was Terrifying

Ashley McBryde is as fierce as they come, but even she was nervous the first time she met one of country music's biggest stars, Eric Church.

Long before she landed a record deal and became one of the genre's most buzzed-about new artists, Church took notice of McBryde's talent. Really, he was one of her earliest fans. The "Girl Goin' Nowhere" singer tells Taste of Country about the first time she met Church and his wife, Katherine, at an office meeting.

"They said 'We're big fans!' and I went, 'Oh God, that's so backwards,'" McBryde says, laughing at the ridiculousness. "But it was nice."

Not long after, Church invited the burgeoning star to his show in Chicago in April of 2017 and surprised her with an invitation to perform with him that night. She stunned the crowd with a raw, acoustic version of her own "Bible and a .44."

In the clip above, Urban says he and the musicians that play on the road with him have been running through the songs for several days to get ready for the tour, which launches June 15 in St. Louis, Mo. There are some new surprises for fans on the upcoming tour dates as far as staging goes.

"A couple of things we can't talk about just yet, but during the show, there'll be a change of scenery, let's just say," Urban says with a laugh. "That's gonna be very fun."

Urban's keyboard player has been using an electronic system onstage for the last few tours called the Phantom, and he's invented a Phantom 2.0 for the new tour that Urban describes as "pretty intergalactic," which will bring some other new elements to the show.

Kane Brown Could Have a Thomas Rhett Duet Coming

First Lauren Alaina, next up Thomas Rhett? Kane Brown says his sophomore album could feature a collaboration between two of the biggest stars in modern country music.

"We've got a couple [collaborations] that we've talked about," Brown told Taste of Country backstage at the 2018 Taste of Country Music Festival in Hunter, N.Y. "They haven't happened yet, so we'll see ..."

That collaboration with Rhett is still in the very early stages, admittedly. Brown says they "were texting" about the idea, but "we don't know for a fact."

"It'd be cool though," he admits.

Brown's sophomore album is due out on Nov. 9. He says the yet-to-be-named project is "a better album" than his self-titled debut album, which was released in 2016; he calls that project an "autobiography," whereas this next record will be "more fun

Taylor Swift Is the Other Woman in Sugarland's Babe' Video — See a Juicy Teaser!

Anticipation has hit a fever pitch for the "Babe" music video. Taylor Swift released a sneak peek of her collaboration with Sugarland on her socials on Wednesday (June 6) night, and it's ... juicy!

The clip features a red-haired Swift starring with a retro-looking Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush, but Swift is actually the 'other woman' — the one Nettles' man stepped out to fool around with. The "Babe" video throws it old school, putting the trio in the 1950s. Nettles even plays a housewife, at home all gussied up as she sets the table for dinner with her cheating man, but it seems he's not coming home on time ...

The full video for "Babe" will premiere on Saturday (June 9), and it's not clear how things will end.

Want to be a wrestler? WWE Performance Center website offers tryout opportunity. (Jenn's IN!!)

The WWE Performance Center might find an influx of new trainees soon, thanks to the launch of a new recruiting website for the east Orlando facility.

WWEPerformanceCenter.com, which went live last month, offers an inside look at the tryouts, workouts and skills required to be a superstar in Orlando’s NXT brand or the rest of WWE. And for the first time, it provides an easy application process to become a wrestler yourself.

Paul Levesque, WWE’s Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative, said the site provided a way for top athletes around the world to raise their hands and express an interest in sports entertainment.

“There are people on a world-class level in any sport who just miss becoming elite,” Levesque said on a media conference call last week. “Maybe they’re Olympic-team alternates or get cut from pro-team rosters, but they’re still great athletes. We want to bring in some of the best athletes from around the globe and see if they have what it..

Garth Brooks Announces New Tour, New Music, and CMA Fest Appearance

Garth Brooks had plenty of news to delight his fans with on Monday (June 4), announcing he's planning on embarking on a new tour — and not only that, one that will be in support of brand-new music.

Brooks revealed the big announcements during an appearance on his Inside Studio G live series, where he took fans' questions via social media. When a fan asked whether Brooks was planning a new tour, the superstar responded with an enthusiastic, "yes!"

Adding to that, Brooks noted that in order to tour, he'll need some new music...which he also promised was on tap and would be coming to country radio soon for fans to hear. Luke Combs Couldn't Have Imagined the Success He's Having Now

Luke Combs has had a whirlwind year of success, and the rising country star admits that nobody is more surprised than he is.

"I would have thought we'd have a little bit of success," Combs tells Taste of Country's Ania Hammar in the latest installment of her weekly series, That's What She Said. "But not the year that we've had."

That year includes two No. 1 hits with "Hurricane" and "When It Rains It Pours," and a third single, "One Number Away," poised to follow those songs to the top of Billboard's Country Airplay chart. Combs also released his debut album, This One's for You, to great success, and he's even climbed into headlining his own shows. The schedule, he admits, has been "exhausting, but worth it."

Florida Georgia Line Wipe Instagram Clean to Tease New Single

Florida Georgia Line are preparing to drop a new single, and they turned to social media to provide some tantalizing hints about the new song.

Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley wiped their Instagram account clean and started all over again on Tuesday (May 29), sharing a post with a picture of them in black and white, walking through a field at night with acoustic guitars in hand. The field is lit softly with intermittent glowing lights, and the photo is accompanied by the phrase, "Ain't no need to complicate it."

The superstar country duo have added four more posts in the ensuing days, all of them depicting what look like scenes from what's likely to be a video for a new song. Each still is accompanied by a short phrase, and fans are speculating that when all of the phrases are listed in order, they make up the lyrics to a new song that is probably titled "It's Just That Simple."

Dolly Parton Goes to Taco Bell for Date Nights With Her Husband

Dolly Parton's date nights with her husband, Carl Dean, aren't what you'd expect. During a chat with SiriusXM host Andy Cohen in 2016, Parton revealed that she and her husband often go to Taco Bell drive-thru in their RV.

"Carl and I have a little camper, a little RV, and we're always driving through fast food restaurants to get our stuff," she explains. "That's one of the things we do. I'm always in the front seat. Sometimes they know me, sometimes they don't."

The singer says that while she isn't all made up for a public appearance, she still is often recognized by those working the drive-thru. "I usually wear my hair up in a scrunchie and a little bit of makeup," she spills. "I don't look like I'm going on stage. Sometimes I sign autographs on napkins. I don't mind any of that, but I really get mad if they mess up my order."

Little Big Town's 'Rocket Man' Video Is Full of Wonder

Little Big Town's "Rocket Man" video is what childhood dreams are made of.

The video for the song — which is featured on the country cover album Restoration: Reimagining the Songs of Elton John and Bernie Taupin — focuses on a little boy who grabs his bike and sneaks out of his house for a spacey encounter that results in him disappearing and leaving a techno-cube left in his place, showing images of LBT’s Kimberly Schlapman, Jimi Westbrook, Karen Fairchild and Phillip Sweet along with vintage footage of Elton John himself.

"It's always a huge compliment when an artist loves your song enough to take the time and effort to rework it" Elton John said earlier this year of the album, which also includes covers by Maren Morris, Miranda Lambert, Dolly Parton and Kacey Musgraves. "As songwriters, Bernie and myself are thrilled when singers we admire and respect as much as those on Revamp & Restoration choose to add their own unique twist in the process. It means that our music is still relevant and ultimately that our songs continue to reach new audiences. We're humbled and thank them all for their generosity."

Watch Darius Rucker and Jimmy Fallon Parody Hootie on 'Only Wanna Thank the Troops'

As the country prepared to celebrate Memorial Day on Monday (May 28), country star Darius Rucker found a way to pay tribute to an all-military Fleet Week audience on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday (May 24) with "Only Wanna Thank the Troops."

In an obvious parody of Hootie & the Blowfish's 1995 hit "Only Wanna Be with You," Rucker and Fallon looked awfully comfy with guitars in hand and smiles on their faces, as they tried their best not to break out in hysterics during some of the parade song's lyrics:

Lauren Alaina Has a Regret She's Struggling With Right Now

From the moment Lauren Alaina stepped on the stage of American Idol all the way back in 2011 to the moment she stepped on stage as an opener on Jason Aldean’s High Noon Neon Tour in 2018, her fans have always been her top priority.

But lately, she has been struggling with one regret. Due to her increasing popularity, she doesn't have the ability to meet and greet fans and sign autographs at the same capacity anymore.

"I’ve played really big tours like this before, but I’ve never had the success that I have now while playing on these tours. So up to this point I’ve always liked to sign after every show—but when there are 16,000 people in the crowd, I can’t do that anymore,” Alaina admitted to Taste of Country during a recent backstage interview in Chicago.

“I mean, I just can’t. We’ve talked about it a lot, and even if five percent of those people come to meet me, it’s a lot of people. Plus, there are curfews at these amphitheaters and the rules are very different.”

Rules are rules, but it still hurts her heart.

This Daddy-Son Video of Jason Aldean and Baby Memphis Will Melt Your Heart

Is there anything cuter than a baby boy and his daddy getting in some giggle time together?

Jason Aldean has been quite busy of late out on the road, and most recently putting in time performing his latest single, "Drowns the Whiskey," at Tuesday night's (May 22) Voice finale. Is he getting any rest? His wife, Brittany, made sure to let fans know he's relaxing here and there, having captured a truly darling moment of much-needed downtime playing with baby son Memphis, which she shared on Instagram.

The little boy is overcome with adorable fits of laughter as he plays with his dad, who barely has to say a word to get the kiddo cracking up in joy. Aldean himself can't resist a few chuckles, as well as giving the baby a big ol' kiss. (And it looks like Memphis, who will be six months old soon, is probably working on some brand-new teeth—based on how he's stuffing his chubby little hands in his mouth and producing copious amounts of drool).

First-Time Coach Kelly Clarkson Wins 'The Voice' With Brynn Cartelli, Youngest Champion Ever

The winner of The Voice Season 14 was announced Tuesday night (May 22), and the result turned out to usher in a night of firsts. Coach Kelly Clarkson won, in her very first season, with youngest champion ever Brynn Cartelli.

Cartelli, who is just 15, was a fan favorite throughout the season for her mature-beyond-her-years delivery. Although she's officially the youngest finalist to win the series, she joins some other previous teen standouts from the show: Danielle Bradbery (Season 4) and Sawyer Christopher Fredericks (Season 8), both of whom were 16 at the time.

Clarkson no doubt was riding high herself, having bested her friendly rival Blake Shelton, who with six wins is the most awarded coach in Voice history. She also pulled ahead of formidable competitor Alicia Keys, who won in Season 12.

'American Idol': Darius Rucker and Caleb Lee Hutchinson Duet on 'Wagon Wheel'

American Idol finalist Caleb Lee Hutchinson won over scores of fans with his deep-voiced, pure country vocals, which he put to shining spotlight on the second night of the season's two-part finale Monday night (May 21) in a duet with Darius Rucker.

The two singers—who were admirably matched in timbre and tone—gave a warm rendition of Rucker's "Wagon Wheel," which was originally recorded by Old Crow Medicine Show and covered by Rucker in 2013. Hutchinson handled the smooth harmonizing nicely, accompanying the pair on a banjo for a bit of a change.

A bit later in the broadcast, before the winner was announced, Hutchinson told the audience that he's actually dating his rival for the prize, Maddie Poppe. The couple performed a lovely version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World" together before the season's prize was revealed.

Kelly Clarkson Issues an Emotional Plea During Billboard Music Awards Opening

In the opening seconds of the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night (May 20), show host Kelly Clarkson turned serious, as she joined so many in the country still in shock over the latest school shooting in Santa Fe, Texas.

"Before we start tonight’s show, there is something I’d like to say," Clarkson said in front of a dark backdrop. "This is going to be so hard. There is something I would like to say about the tragedy Friday at Santa Fe High School."

Clarkson stopped for a moment, holding back the tears and apologizing to the audience as she talked about Houston-area Santa Fe High School shooting, in which 10 people were killed on Friday (May 18) — eight students and two teachers. The shooter was taken into custody by police.

“I’m a Texas girl and my home state has had so much heartbreak over the past year and once again y'all we are grieving over more kids who have died for absolutely no reason at all ... and tonight they wanted me to say that obviously we want to pray for all the victims and pray for their families, but they also wanted me to do a moment of silence and I’m so sick of moments of silences. It’s not working. So why don’t we not do a moment of silence. Why don’t we do a moment of action? Why don’t we do a moment of change and change what’s happening, because this is horrible.”

Join Jason Aldean for Dinner, Drinks and Menu Input

You and a friend could have dinner and drinks with Jason Aldean. But is it weird that I think having him name a drink after you is even better?

In an Instagram post on Monday (May 14), Aldean explained that if you enter this contest, he will fly you and your guest to Nashville, book you a room at a four-star hotel, then have you join him for dinner and a few drinks at his new place, Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar.

But then he adds that you’ll also get a chance to put a signature cocktail on the menu. “Let’s say your name is Andrew,” Aldean says. “You could go for the Drew Dropper, or Mint Drewlip. But I’d push for something classy, like Tonight Looks Good on Drew.”

If your name is Elizabeth, he suggests, you could come up with a recipe for a Gin Lizzy.

Whatever your name is, I’m sure you’ve already come up with a few worthy ideas (The only thing that sounds like Alison is Galveston, so I’m not having much luck myself.).

See 'Spirituality Rap,' the Kacey Musgraves 'SNL' Skit That Didn't Air

Kacey Musgraves was the  musical guest on Saturday Night Live on May 12, and it seemed likely she would try her hand at a comedy skit or two. None made the telecast, but she did pre-tape a moment called "Spirituality Rap," which was later released via YouTube.

In addition to performing her country tunes "High Horse" and "Slow Burn," Musgraves lent her voice to a mock music video for "Song for the Angels," in which she portrays a choir singer of sorts alongside angel and SNL host Amy Schumer and rapper Beck "Stav D" Bennett. She comes in around the one-minute mark.

The odd, but funny skit was ultimately cut for time, but shows Musgraves' range as a singer and her sense of humor as she belts lines from a choir loft. She'll need all sides of her personality as the Texas native continues on the road in support of her new Golden Hour album. On May 27, Musgraves will join George Strait at the Bayou Country Superfest in New Orleans (an event that also features Chris Stapleton, Midland and Little Big Town).

What Does Ryan Seacrest and Katy Perry's Awkward 'American Idol' Moment Mean? [Watch]

Ryan Seacrest is coming under scrutiny online after an awkward-seeming exchange with Katy Perry during American Idol's live show on Sunday night (May 13).

The show went on a commercial break, and when it came back to live air, Seacrest was standing at the judges' table where Lionel Richie, Perry and Luke Bryan were seated. He was positioned directly in front of Perry.

She tells him, "We're on," evidently thinking he does not know the show is back, and in a strange non-sequitur, he replies, "Your mom's pretty." (Sunday was Mother's Day).

"My mom?" Perry asks, adding, "Well, I hope the apple doesn't fall far from the tree." She then winks at the camera, which a number of fans online, as well as several media outlets, interpreted as her trying to signal to the host that they are live on the air.

Sam Hunt Isn't as Focused on Music Anymore: 'My Interests Have Changed'

Sam Hunt is releasing his first new single in more than a year, and in a new interview, he admits he's simply not as single-minded about his music career as he once was.

Hunt, 33, is set to release "Downtown's Dead" on Wednesday (May 16). It's his first single since he released "Body Like a Back Road" in February 2017, and the singer-songwriter says that since he released his debut album, Montevallo, in 2014, much has changed about his life.

“I’ve grown up a little bit since my first record, and I feel my first record was inspired by an era of my life that really left with something to say and something to sing about,” Hunt tells Yahoo!. “And at this point … I’ve gotten into some other things outside of music that I really enjoy. Just other interests of mine that have nothing to do with music."

How Jana Kramer and Michael Caussin Healed Their Marriage After Infidelity

Jana Kramer is candid about her life in her recently-launched podcast, Whine Down With Jana Kramer, and in the second episode she chats with her husband, Michael Caussin, about their rocky past.

It hasn't been an easy road. Kramer married the former NFL star in 2015 and their daughter Jolie was born Jan. 31, 2016. The pair broke it off later that year — reports say  the split was caused by Caussin's infidelity — but began rebuilding their marriage slowly in 2017. By December 2017, they had renewed their vows in Hawaii.

"One of the reasons I have stayed with you as long as I have, it's because you're a very hands-on dad," Kramer tells him. "Great husband? Eh ..."

Caussin comes in around the 26-minute mark of an episode called "Marriage Uncorked," in which they open up about working on their marriage and navigating the struggles unfaithfulness can cause. He laughs nervously as he admits that his reputation as a husband is "debatable."

Based on the post she shared on Instagram Wednesday (May 9), it looked as if the 33-year-old star had a very good time indeed. "Dancing on a bar with gay cowboys to Diane. I felt like the Cinderella of Flaming Saddles," she enthused.

Is Jason Aldean + Miranda Lambert's 'Drown the Whiskey' a Hit? Listen and Sound Off!

Jason Aldean tapped Miranda Lambert for his new single "Drowns the Whiskey," a ballad that instantly becomes the most country-sounding song on the radio.

Steel guitar weeps all over this true heartbreaker, with Aldean finding an original way to poor his heart out by accusing the makers of Jack Daniels of not quite doing their job. It's said with a stabbing smirk and maybe an ironic chuckle. Lambert jumps in at the chorus, adding high harmonies to the ACM Entertainer of the Year's throated vocals. There's even a steel guitar solo! When was the last time you heard 13 uninterrupted seconds of that between a chorus and bridge?

Like gin and tonic or whiskey and sour, Aldean and Lambert's voices aren't an obvious mix, but in many ways they're similar singers relying on old memories and adherence to great country storytelling to make their points. "Drowns the Whiskey" is arguably the best song on Rearview Town, and it's an early favorite for some CMA love in November.

Johnny Cash's Boyhood Home Makes National Historic Register

The boyhood home of Johnny Cash, located in rural Arkansas, was added to the National Register of Historic Places on Friday (May 4).

The Arkansas Historic Preservation Program announced that residence will now bear the designation of "Farm No. 266, Johnny Cash Boyhood Home." The house is located in Dyess, a small town close to the Tennessee border and about 170 miles northeast of Little Rock. Cash lived there from age 3 until he graduated from high school in 1950.

“Recognition by the National Park Service through this listing is a tremendous honor that requires exhaustive research and documentation,” says Dr. Ruth Hawkins, executive director of Arkansas State’s Heritage Sites program. “We are grateful for the additional opportunity to make people aware of the significant impact that growing up in Dyess, Arkansas, had on Johnny Cash and his music.”

Chris Jericho Challenges Predators Superfan Carrie Underwood With $10K Hockey Bet

One person you probably don't want to take on when it comes to pro hockey is Carrie Underwood. After all, she's married to Mike Fisher, who's currently in the midst of a playoff series besting his team, the Nashville Predators, against the Winnipeg Jets.

Well, that warning isn't something that pro wrestler Chris Jericho was prepared to heed. Although he's not actually married to any team members himself, he's a Winnipeg boy, his dad was a pro NHL player, and he's a superfan of the Jets; and he has challenged Underwood to a rather taunting challenge: A $10,000 bet as to which team would win the second-round Stanley Cup Playoff series.

Ray Fulcher — a songwriter in Nashville who co-penned several tracks with Combs on his debut album, This One's for You — shared the good news on Instagram with a video ripped from Sheeran's Instagram story in which he and a friend are singing Combs' huge hit, "When It Rains It Pours."

"Deep sea, senorita, fishing down in Panama" the pop star and his pal sing into the camera during what appears to be a beach vacation of their own, with palm trees and what looks like a beach hut serving as the backdrop.

Blake Shelton and Adam Levine Trade Off Kindergarten-Approved Insults on 'The Voice'

If you didn't watch the latest episode of The Voice yet, beware, spoilers ahead. On Tuesday (April 24), Coach Blake Shelton's three hopefuls were voted through by America with ease. So were Alicia Keys'. Adam Levine had to get down to the wire with Kelly Clarkson to see which of their team members would be eliminated...with Levine winning that struggle and Clarkson's D.R. King having to go home (despite it being Clarkson's birthday...sob!).

However, the real crazy moment of the evening came when 5-year-old viral sensation Claire Crosby, who is the daughter of former Voice contestant Dave Crosby, interviewed the panel of contestants and judges on a variety of things that would interest a kindergarten-aged fan.

She did ask Levine what he thought of Shelton, to which Levine answered, "He's a poop face." (In Levine's defense, he did warn Crosby that he was about to use a really bad word.)

As you can see above, the guys decided to make a play on Jon's last name, superimposing his face on a photo of rapper Cardi B and captioning it "Pardi B."

Genius? Well, sure. We won't deny it's funnier than heck. However, the result is, well, un-see-able. We're not sure we can ever look at a photo of Pardi again without having this in the backs of our heads!

Luke Bryan Spends Quality Time With His Sons, With Help from Their School

Luke Bryan is in demand, which can make maintaining his family life difficult. The "forever" nature of family might prioritize his quality time with his sons low on other people's to-do lists, but he finds ways to do it all.

It's a team effort. Speaking to WYRK's Clay & Liz prior to the 2018 ACM Awards, Bryan shares that he finds time whenever and wherever he can. He had just taken his boys turkey hunting (more on that in a second) and got them to school by 8:30 or 9 — about 30 minutes late.

“Our school understands that a lot of times I haven’t seen ‘em in awhile," he says, "So a moment like that, getting to go out and hunt for one morning and then I’m off to Vegas ..."

The news that former First Lady Barbara Bush passed away at the age of 92 hit the nation Tuesday (April 17). Among the first country music notables to acknowledge her passing was Brad Paisley, who posted a touching and straightforward recognition of her life's influence on his social media accounts.

"This nation owes this woman a huge debt for her wisdom, guidance, and love. Rest in peace my friend. What an incredible & inspiring life you lived Barbara Bush. Thank you for your friendship and so many memories."

Paisley has met with the Bush family several times over the years, with the most recent being last month—where he shared lunch with George H.W. Bush and admired the festive shamrock socks the former president was wearing to commemorate St. Patrick's Day.

Top 5 Moments From the 2018 ACM Awards

Women ruled at the 2018 ACM Awards. You'll find female country artists in each of the Top 5 moments from the Las Vegas awards gathering with a legend and modern legend battling for the top spot.Reba McEntire was a joy as host, spitting one-liner after one-liner and never getting stuck if a joke didn't work. She kept it light after a brief emotional moment at the very beginning of the show. The Route 91 Harvest Festival tribute was touching, but not memorable enough to make this Top 5 moments list. Not so sure? Ask yourself this: In five years, will fans be talking about that, or the return of that red dress?

Who Is Mason Ramsey, the Yodeling 'Walmart Boy'?

They call him "Little Hank" in his hometown, and 11-year-old "Walmart Boy" Mason Ramsey has earned the moniker. The newly-famous yodeling cowboy didn't just turn up out of nowhere!

Nope, there's video evidence that Ramsey has been entertaining audiences for as long as he could hold a guitar. One video from the summer of 2016 shows then-9-year-old Ramsey at the Kentucky Opry, telling crowds he starting playing at age six. He says he started hearing his grandfather play Hank Williams in the garage and just started to sing like the legend.

Fun fact: Ramsey was the 2016 winner of the Kentucky Opry Talent Search, Beginner Division. He's performed "Your Cheatin' Heart" and "Long Gone Lonesome Blues" in his career, but was made famous with a Walmart cover of "Lovesick Blues."

This isn't his first cover of the song. In January 2017 he shared a version to YouTube. We're pretty fond of his "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" from 2015:

Ramsey is from Harrisburg, Ill. and was filmed yodeling the Williams song on March 24, 2018. Radio station WVVR-FM in Clarksville, Tenn., shared the clip of him singing at a Walmart in Paducah, Ky., in January of last year. That video racked up more than a million views and led to a recreation of the moment on their Facebook page, with Ramsey singing "Jambalaya."

Here is a better version of that cover:

The newly-viral video of the Walmart Boy has more than 17 million views on Twitter and has been retweeted more than 50,000 times. Fans are kind of freaking out over the kid, and he might have Grandma and Grandpa to thank! Not only does his love of Hank Williams come from their old collection of records, but it's often his grandparents who drive him around to stores and radio stations.

But she probably didn't expect to get the pop superstar's seal of approval, too.

Granger Smith Confesses His Obsession.....

Granger Smith's latest alter-ego video will leave you saying umm, what? The country singer parodied his hit "Happens Like That" Weird Al Yankovich style, making it "I Happen to Like Cats" for a totally amusing celebration of felines.

The off-the-wall music video finds Smith at 'home' on his couch, surrounded by all of his cats — seven, actually — and all sorts of feline paraphernalia, like pillows, artwork and a cat gym.

"I happen to like cats / Give me a feline over a canine / They got nine lives / Who needs a spouse / When you've got pussycats all over the house," the not-so-disguised star belts, wearing a custom-made "I Happen to Like Cats" T-shirt.

Jason Aldean's Baby-Proofing His Tour Bus for Family Life on the Road

Every parent who has a bit of an age gap between children knows that it's all too easy to forget the various difficulties of the infancy stage. Jason Aldean, who has a 10-year gap between children, is no different, but he's seeing advantages that his youngest child, Memphis, will benefit from that his older sisters did not.

Aldean tells Taste of Country Nights' Sam Alex that he's in a position now to take his baby son out on the road with him on tour, and he thinks that will give Memphis some interesting experiences.

"Back when [my daughters] were born, when I was touring I was on one bus with my whole band—there was 12 of us on a bus," Aldean explained. "So I wasn’t in a position to be able to carry them out a whole lot back then. And then, my oldest one started school. They would come out for the summer sometimes.

Jason Aldean and Miranda Lambert Collaboration?!

The track list for Jason Aldean's new Rearview Town album reveals he's partnered with Miranda Lambert for his eighth studio album.

The two sing together on "Drowns the Whiskey," a traditional country heartbreak ballad. It's not so much a duet as a featured performance. Lambert harmonizes throughout the song, offering a female perspective that echoes the pain Aldean is living through. This is the only guest performance on the album, set for an April 13 release.

Rearview Town includes 15 songs, more than most singers include on any studio album but the same number Aldean has put on each of his four previous releases. Previously he promised an album that reflects the many genres that influenced him growing up in Macon, Ga. The single is "You Make It Easy," a straight-forward love lyric framed by slow R&B guitar licks and organ. Southern rock, metal, hip-hop and (of course) country music set songs apart from one another.

Meet Pancake, Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd 's Precious New Puppy

Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd have a new love in their life! The country singers — who are getting married soon — got Pancake, an English bulldog, from Jon Pardi's mom, who lives in California.

Sacramento country station KNCI reports that Shelly Pardi breeds English bulldogs, and Morris decided to pick one of a recent litter of puppies as an engagement present for Hurd. Pardi kept Pancake hidden, taking care of the precious pup in Nashville in the days before he was able to send him to his new home. Morris already has a white Shepherd named June.

Pancake made his social media debut recently when the singer shared a photo of the furry addition to their family via Instagram. Sitting with the sweet pup curled in her lap, the "My Church" singer is clearly smitten by her new little friend. "Pancake has entered the residence," she writes next to a cute photo, which is fittingly accompanied by three pancake emojis.

Luke Bryan Tests 'American Idol' Contestant's Country Cred

When 17-year-old Laine Hardy, a born-on-the-bayou southerner from Livingston, La. walked out to show his stuff on Mar. 12th's American Idol 2018 auditions, it wasn't immediately apparent he was star material. A rather unassuming figure in jeans and t-shirt, he had a chill manner to match, but he quickly won over judge Luke Bryan...and judges Katy Perry and Lionel Richie to follow.

Hardy coolly and calmly stated his creds (which included his favorite hobby, "drivin' my truck around town...burnin' gas"), causing Bryan to snap to attention, telling him, "Keep talkin', I'm gonna write a country song."

Bryan, apparently bent on appraising the lad's country cred, pointed out judge Katy Perry's earrings, which were shaped like golden alligators.

5 Country Fellas Who Should Be Considered for ...The Bachelor!

Nope, we didn't watch any of the two-part season finale of ABC's The Bachelor. Swear to God! We only 'heard' that Arie dropped one girl like hot rocks and went crawling back to another girl, and that — OMG, how can you possibly treat someone like that on national television!?

Okay, cover blown. We were glued to The Bachelor this season and have thoughts on Arie, Becca, Lauren, that phone call and — most relevant to this story and video — who the next Bachelor should be! They need to check all the boxes: single, sexy, a little bit quirky and/or dramatic and most most important, good to their mamas.

These five single country men be like: "Hey, girl!"

Brett Eldredge practically asked for it in 2017 when he told Taste of Country he was hoping to find forever love soon. But if tall, funny, handsome men with a fondness for Frank Sinatra aren't your jam, maybe you'll like Kip Moore? He's kind of the anti-Brett: dark, moody, muscled, private and into a wide range of musical styles.

Alan Jackson Says Chris Stapleton Is the Closest Thing to Country Out There.....

Alan Jackson isn't such a big fan of a lot of mainstream contemporary country music, but he is a fan of Chris Stapleton, who he was aware of years before Stapleton shot to mainstream superstardom.

Jackson recently sat down with GQ to talk about his classic flashy fashion sense, and in a wide-ranging interview to accompany the photo piece, the interviewer asks him about where he sees country music headed now.

"Aaaah, you probably don’t want me to get on my soapbox about it," Jackson responds, but can't hold back from doing just that.

If You Ask Dolly Parton About Politics, She'll Shut You Down.....

Dolly Parton is an outspoken advocate for many causes, but don't ask her about politics. Nightline anchor David Wright learned this the hard way while sitting down with the country legend to chat about a variety of topics, not including President Donald Trump.

"I'm not being political," she warned him at the start of their interview. "I don't do politics. I'm not getting into any of that. I have a lot of fans out there and I don't want to offend anybody. Besides, I just don't get into that. If you are deciding you may want to ask me something more serious, don't, because I'm not going to answer it."

As part of a new Today segment called Raising the Stakes, Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb stepped out of their comfort zones and endure the nerve-wracking experience of auditioning for the national singing show as duo the Wine-Os, bringing friends Kris Jenner and Curtis Jones for support.

Wearing matching outfits, the talk show hosts took the stage for a less-than-stellar rendition of James Taylor and Carole King's beloved "You've Got a Friend," but still got a four-chair turn out of curiosity.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Dress as Scooby Gang for Apollo's 4th Birthday

Gwen Stefani's son, Apollo, had a very special birthday party over the weekend. In fact, it seems his mom had just as much fun as he did! The Scooby Doo-themed festivities included Blake Shelton dressing up as Shaggy and Stefani embodying Daphne.

Always a good sport, Shelton put on an impressively messy wig for his portrayal of the Scooby character. His pop-star girlfriend sported a bright pink wig that looked like a natural fit for her youngest son's 4th birthday celebration.

Shelton has been getting close to Stefani's three sons. They're often out roaming the land on the country star's Oklahoma ranch, and he even taught her oldest son, 11-year-old Kingston, how to go mudding in a truck. Stefani previously told Marie Claire that Shelton's ranch is the perfect spot for her sons. "We cook and get muddy and dirty. There are ATVs. Being a mother of three boys, it’s kind of the perfect place," she says.

Police in California took a man into custody on Monday (Feb. 12) when he traveled to Los Angeles after posting several unsettling Facebook messages about Miley Cyrus.

According to TMZ, the unnamed man resides in the Milwaukee area, and within the last few weeks he made several rambling, nearly incoherent posts to Facebook about coming to find her so they can be together. The whole world is now ours."

Hillary Scott Shows What Two Weeks of Twin Life Really Looks Like

Ah, the newborn fog—a phenomenon know to all new parents everywhere, which causes one to lose track of time, schedule, and perhaps even a sense of reality; at least for a few weeks.

Lady Antebellum's Hilllary Scott is clearly enjoying this period—in double force, as she's currently juggling the immediate demands of newborn twins Betsy Mack and Emory JoAnn, who made their debut Jan. 29.

Scott posted a funny and cute photo of herself looking a bit dazed on social media, admitting that she isn't quite sure what end is up these days.

"Am I laughing? Am I crying? Am I asleep? Am I awake? Have I eaten? Have I showered? Have I brushed my teeth or shaved my legs? Are those still Christmas pillows? I don’t think I know the answers to any of these questions," she captioned the shot. "But y’all my heart is FULL and this is me, #twoweekspostpartum captured in a photo today."
