Pretty boring number, right? Not if you’re a math and science enthusiast. If you’re into numbers, it’s pi, an irrational and transcendental number with more than a trillion digits after its decimal point. But when you round it off to just two numbers after its decimal point, it’s 3.14 — or March 14 — which just so happens to be Albert Einstein’s birthday.
As a Grammy-winning duo, husband and wife Joey + Rory released a handful of heartfelt country and gospel albums. Now, Joey Feek will make her solo country debut, just over a year after her death at age 40 from stage 4 cervical cancer on March 4th, 2016.
It started with an email. “I wrote this song and I keep hearing your voices on it. I know you’re making a record — if you want to cut it, great. If not, no big deal.” The message was from Taylor Swift to Phillip Sweet of Little Big Town. Attached was a demo for the future hit, “Better Man.”
“We thanked the good Lord it didn’t go in his spam folder,” Sweet’s bandmate Kimberly Schlapman joked
It’s no wonder Blake Shelton reached musical superstar status—he grew up on Broadway! Well, sort of. His childhood home in Ada, OK, is located on South Broadway Boulevard, but given Shelton’s stunning future success, it’s the ideal street for a country superstar to get started.
Now you have a chance to begin your journey to stardom, because Shelton’s mom, Dorothy, has listed the three-bedroom, 2.5-bath home for a very reasonable $250,000.
Two years after releasing Jekyll + Hyde – an album that twanged and head-banged its way from rock to EDM, pulling the group far away from its country roots – the band is prepping for the May 12th release of Welcome Home. Produced by Dave Cobb, it's a back-to-basics project, picked clean of ZBB's recent diversions and, instead, steeped in everything that made Brown famous: Southern storytelling, rootsy instrumentation and the sonic swell of eight bandmates who, once again, are firing on the same cylinder.
"We went back to being very minimalistic," Brown tells Rolling Stone Country. "I feel like something happened to me when we were recording Jekyll + Hyde, where we cleaned the white board creatively. We got to experiment. We got to go all over the map, from rock to electronic songs. Now, I'm able to do all my experimental things with Sir Rosevelt, and it's helped me get down to the basics of what ZBB started out as, which was very much a singer-songwriter type of approach. That's really what the rest of this album is."

The fee would help regulation regulate watercraft and could be used to pay for law enforcement, access to paddling areas, search-and-rescue operations and more.
