Brantley Gilbert and his wife Amber weren't expecting to be expecting a baby.

The couple, who had been trying for a baby since they married in 2015, were told by two fertility specialists that it would be "close to a miracle" to get pregnant naturally, according to People.

The two had put trying for a baby on hold because of Amber's hesistation to starting fertility treatments. But in February, Amber surprised Gilbert while he was on the road with a box of three positive pregnancy tests.

“I think I stared at it for at least two minutes without saying anything because I was literally in shock. We’d been told it was just not in the cards, and I’m staring at this answer to many, many, many prayers," Gilbert told People.

The baby is due in November, and Gilbert will celebrate 5 years without drinking in December.

“I got a long way away from the things that I was raised to prioritize: being a husband and a good father. Coming back to that and this happening, especially unexpectedly … My heart just feels full," he told People.
