New Music Friday!

Posted by Chad on September 10, 2021 in Featured, Wolf Pack News

Happy Friday Wolf Country! It’s New Music Friday and we are here to give you some of our favorite releases of the week!

Kacey Musgraves released her new album entitled Star-Crossed. The 15 track album sets the scene and is inspired by major life changes. It follows what her life has looked like over the last three years and picks up where Golden Hour, her previous album, left off. The album sums up the wide array of emotions when going through a divorce from singer-songwriter, Ruston Kelly.

Mitchell Tenpenny released his released his new EP Midtown Diaries. Tenpenny has always had a love for songwriting and co-wrote every song on his new eight track EP including his promotional singles “To Us It Did,” “Bucket List” and “Truth About You.” When explaining the thoughtfulness of this EP, Tenpenny stated “the greatest feeling about this EP is that these songs allow my music to achieve the bigger goals that I want my music to reach. People need to be able to find their stories in my songs. So there are love songs, breakup songs, fun songs, life songs, and songs about loss on this EP. But, consistently, I’ve strived to create an EP where you believe every word that’s coming out of my mouth. I want to tell the truth.” Tenpenny will be playing at the Plaza Live on Thursday, October 7th. Check out his website for more information.

Sam Hunt released a new song entitled “23.” This is Hunt’s first single since the drop of his sophomore album, Southside, in April of 2020.  The song reminisces on his past from a place of gratitude.

Mickey Guyton released “Love My Hair” in preparation for her debut album Remember Her Name that arrives on September 24th! Mickey shared on Instagram the story behind the song. To read it, click here!

The double release of Cole Swindell’s new song “Some Habits” and the music video made fans ecstatic that they didn’t have to wait long!  The release comes just two weeks after teasing new music with emojis of a drink, Bible, and a heart. The music video was also released this morning and it was actually taken in just one take! Watch it here!
