Safety During the Scottish Highland Festival
In accordance with state and local laws and CDC guidelines the City of Mount Dora has developed a comprehensive COVID-19 safety plan to ensure guests and staff follow best practices of hygiene and COVID-19 safety measures at our events.
The city will:
Provide hand sanitizing stations throughout the event footprint.
Announce COVID-19 safety requirements regularly throughout the duration of the event. Provide additional signage throughout the event footprint, reminding attendees to follow our COVID-19 safety protocols. Sanitize restroom facility handles regularly. Require food stations and vendors to have physical barriers such as sneeze guards and partitions, in areas where food is being served or prepared. Require food stations and vendors use only single serve condiments, not bulk. Require all vendors to allow for socially distanced lines. Sanitize tables and chairs frequently on a strict schedule. Create visible physical guides such as tape on floors, signage on walls, or temporary guardrails to promote social distancing. Require that volunteers or event staff who are feeling sick or register an abnormally high temperature follow quarantine restrictions.
We request that event participants:
Wear a face covering where social distancing is not possible. Maintain social distancing at least 6 feet apart. Do not attend the event if you or someone you are in contact with are feeling sick or register an abnormally high temperature
